A journey
My journey into the world of hunting began the same way it has for so many other hunters – long days sitting on a rucksack beside my dad, feeling cold and tired. But ever since shooting my first deer at 11 or 12 years old, I’ve been hooked. I believe that the reason I haven’t lost interest or got bored is because each day of hunting offers something new, and no two situations are the same. And there’s more: hunting captures your emotions – once that shot has been fired, everything is for real and there is no turning back.
I started to market hunting trips more than a decade ago under the name of Fjelljakt. The idea has always been to package hunting experiences in which we are responsible for the entire trip, from arrival to departure. Our hunt philosophy is based upon the Swedish traditional hunting method in which I was raised, as well as impressions left by all the international hunts I have participated in.
We have an organisation that involves around 15 people during the hunting season; the people and companies we work with are all carefully selected for their expertise and feeling for quality. Our 16,500 hectares are situated on the Norwegian border in west Jämtland, not far from Åre.
Respecting the game we hunt is very important to me, and we place high requirements on hunting ethics and morals. We must strive for a “fair hunt”, at the same time as we want to offer a spectacular experience in which every situation offers a challenge. Our hunts are physically demanding, so when the day is over you’ll have earned your gourmet dinner.

I am incredibly privileged to have made this journey, to work professionally with hunting and to have the opportunity to hunt in Sweden and abroad. But this journey has in no way come to an end, as I am always looking for new hunting challenges and Fjelljakt is constantly developing.
